This is accomplished by slots along the periphery of the triangular top platform, with each slot deep enough to accommodate two compatible tools (such as a garden rake and a leaf rake). Here, the tools are in their normal, vertical positions, with sharp and pointed edges downward and inward for safety. The two slots at the rear have matching wells in the bottom platform for stabilizing the heads of axes, splitting mauls, or pick axes. The tools in the slots are held by three rubber straps which are permanently attached at their centers so you'll never lose them. Non-slip adhesive strips along the bottom platform keep sharp tools from marring the wood.

Neighboring the slots are holes that accept dowel-handled tools such as shovels, hoes and brooms. These tools are stored in an inverted manner, plugging into matching holes in the bottom platform.
